Josiah was born in 1811. He was married to Harriet Armitage. He passed away in 1879.
"Josiah Hebner was the son of Nicholas Henry Hebner a 'Barczy Settler' from Germany/Denmark to Markham Township near present day Toronto.
Josiah married Harriet Armitage in 1841 in Mariposa Township, Victoria County, Ontario, Canada. They were the parents of eight Children three of whom died in childhood. They were: Catherine (died young), Captain Frank, William Chester, Mary (Johnson, Crosby), John (died young), Hamon, Matilda (Sumner), & Barbara (Carpenter).
About 1862, Josiah and his family moved to Michigan when he first settled in St. Clair County then Macomb County. He was a member of the Adventist Church in Armanda.
Josiah died in Armanda Macomb County, Michigan in 1879. His family Bible is still in existence."
