Charles was born in 1882. He was the son of Daniel Heimbach and Lydia Cromley. His father died when he was only a year old. He was raised by his mother. He was a machinist. He married Anna Beryl Gordner around 1908. They had three children before Anna died in 1921. Charles remarried a year later to Martha K. Ludwig. This union produced a son and a daughter. Charles passed away in 1961. He is buried with his first wife in Pine Grove Cemetery in Berwick, PA. Martha, his second wife, died in 1985.
