Dear Committee!

Originally I was looking for ancestors from Sweden for relatives who emigrated to the USA circa 1890. (This is for a friend of mine). It was in that connection I was headed to WikiTree. This seemed very interesting to me, so I logged on. I am 73 years old, retired engineer from merchant marine and I live in Norway. I have been a genealogist for some years and I am familiar with what is required in order for a tree to be credible. I have read your Honor Code and now I hope to become a volunteer member of your shared family tree and help out with serious genealogical contribution.
