Christopher Hendra was baptised on the 26th December, 1756. He was the fifth consecutive generation of first born sons, to be named Christopher. He was the son of Christopher Hendra and Elizabeth Michell. [1]
He married Ann Hampton at Gwinear on the 6th of April 1782.[2]
These close (Hendra) marriages were very common in a limited village gene-pool and this is why every English Prayer Book of the time contained "A Table of Kindred and Affinity" which spells out clearly to the Rector and to those of his flock that could read, what degree of family relationship was permissible to make a lawful marriage.
Christopher Hendra passed away and was buried on the 30th December, 1836 at Gwinear, Cornwall, England. [3]
