Edmund/Edward George Hendy was born on January 11, 1890. He was the son of Albert Hendy and Annie Middleton.[1]

In 1911 Edward was one of 4 children living with parents Albert and Annie in Oldham. Albert was a Clerk and Edward was a Grocers Manager. [2]

During WWI Edward was a Private with the 2nd Batallion of the London Regiment. He was killed in Action. [3]

Edward died aged 26 on 1 July 1916 at the Somme during WWII. He is buried with his parents in Oldham. [4]
