In the 1850 US census, Tunis Henion (35) was living in Monroe, Clarkson, New York, with wife Emeline (30) and children Olive (12), Adalaide (10) and Amanda (4), and Mary Ann Tunny (27). He was a wagon maker.[1]
In the 1880 US census, Tunis Henion (65) was living in Brockport, Monroe, with wife Emeline Henion (60) and daughter Amanda (33).[2] (Note that the name on the original census might be Louis, but this could be a census taker error. There is no other use of Louis as his name.)

In the 1830 US census, there were two Tunis Henion's in Seneca, New York:
Tunis Henion (60-70, born 1760-1770) living in Fayette, Seneca, New York. His household included one male 10-15, one male 60-70, one female 10-15, one female 20-30, and one female 50-60 (wife, born 1771-1780).[5]
Tunis J Henion (60-70, born 1760-1770) living in Varick, Seneca, New York. This household included one male 15-20, one male 60-70, and one female 50-60.[6]
By the 1840 US census, two Tunis Henion were living in Fayette, Seneca, while one was living in Varick, Seneca:
