In 1851, the family was in Peterhead[2] where Alexander worked as a Baker. By 1861, the family had moved to St. Fergus[3] where Alexander and his wife remained for the rest of their lives[4][5].
Alexander died in St. Fergus in September 1888 and was buried at St. Fergus Old Churchyard [6].
