Biography
George was born in 1796, the son of Daniel Herrold and Mary Troxal. A farmer, he married Mary Magdalena "Mollie" Thomas on 22 March 1821 in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. Their children included Hannah, Thomas, Reuben, Leah, Phebe H., Bernhart, Mary J., Ellen, William, Sybilla M., Barnett, and Henry C.[1],[2] George passed away in 1874.[3]
Research Notes
Some profiles appear to confuse George with his brother John George. Census records indicate that John George went by John and that George went by George. George's tombstone also simply reads George.
