Immigration
The Kallenbachs immigrated to the United States in 1886. It appears they traveled aboard two ships. First the Breslau (1882): departed on 25 Mar 1886 in Hamburg, Germany, arrived in Glasgow. Aboard were father Oswald, mother Christine and children Marie, Albert, Carl and Hermann.[1] I do not know which ship they transferred to for the transatlantic journey. Albert's petition for naturalization lists arriving in the port of New York on 15 Jun 1886 aboard the "Idoba" or "Idobia". I have not found any ships by that name.[2]
