Biography
Zachariah Hickman was born 4 FEB 1813 in Wood County, Virginia to Elias Hickman and Charity Tucker. He married Hannah Riley in Wood County, Virginia 12 NOV 1840 and that had at least 7 children. Farming was his occupation. Zachariah passed away in Jackson County, Ohio 16 MAR 1866.
Zachariah's marker is in bad shape. It has been broken off and leaned against another. The cemetery is on Springer Rd. near Limerick and off 35 East. You can still make out Zachariah Hickman (barely) and 1866 at 53 years and the months I can't read.
Family history relates that Zachariah was a big man and died shortly after eating a big dinner.
