Death, burial & Ordinances found on familysearch.org in July 2014. He shows as BIC, but parents do not yet show as sealed. His daughter, Carol, sent this explanation via email: "Carol Hicks (carol@wwoodruff.com)7/10/14 To: dithaun@hotmail.com From:carol@wwoodruff.com
"I noticed your questions regarding my husband’s designation in Family Search. My mother-in-law Isabelle Powell White Hicks was first married to Frances White in the LDS Temple and had two daughters. Brother White died in a car accident before the second daughter was born. Several years later Isabelle then married James Hicks in a civil ceremony and they had four children, three of them living to adulthood. Isabelle divorced her second husband. I have talked to several people at Family Search regarding this matter and have been told several time that the sealing from Isabelle’s first marriage is valid for her children from her second marriage and a separate sealing is not necessary…although a brother-in-law arranged and accomplished a second sealing for the other children of the second marriage (his dead wife being one of the children). If there is a reason for my husband to be sealed in a separate sealing session to his mother’s first husband, I would be open to hear why."
