Michael Hilburger was born on 12 March 1833 in Leuchtenberg. He was the son of Felix Hilburger and Rosina Götz.[1]
He passed away in 1907 in Buffalo, New York.
Michael and his brother Jacob departed Hamburg, Germany for NYC and arrived in America on July 14, 1853 aboard the ship "Anna"[2]. He appears on the passenger list alongside a Tobias Hilburger who was born in 1819 in Kaimling, very near Leuchtenberg where he was born. It is likely they were distant cousins, but a common ancestor could not be found with surviving Catholic parish records.
