Biography

Harold Hillier was born in Germany to parents of British citizenship.

Born at Weisbaden in Germany on the 19th of June 1892, Harry Drummond Hillier was son of Harry Mason Hillier and his wife, Maggie Drummond. He was baptised at Tunbridge Wells in Kent on the 15th of August. ^[1] Soon the family was on the move again for his brother, Geoffrey, was born in China in 1895. By 1901 Harold, his mother, siblings Dorothy and Geoffrey, and cousins, Florence and Clare were back in England living at Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk. ^[2]

In 1915 he married Monica Brodrick. ^[3]

In 1946 Harold married Noelle A Robert-Carter. ^[4]

Harry died in 1988, his death being registered at Sudbury in Suffolk. ^[5]
