Maria was born in 1793 and baptised on the 25th July 1793 at St. Mary, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England, the daughter of Thomas Hillsden and Elizabeth Hillsden[1].
On the 30th? December 1822, Maria, spinster of Hitchin and James Hunt, bachelor of Hitchin, married by banns at St. Mary, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, England. Witnessed by Maria's brother-in-law George Brown and sister Mary Brown[2].
