Kate was christened on 28 Aug 1881 at St Mary's in Walton on the Hill, Lancashire. She is the daughter of Charles Hobbs and Annie Honey.[1]
The 1891 England and Wales Census lists Kate as a nine year old girl living with her parents, seven siblings, a brother-in-law, and a nephew on Gladstone Road in Walton on the Hill, Liverpool. Her birth year is estimated as 1882 and her occupation is recorded as scholar.[2]
The 1901 England and Wales Census lists Kate as a 20 year old married woman living with her husband, Thomas, and his younger brother, William, on Cavendish Road in Walton on the Hill, Liverpool. Her year of birth is estimated as 1881.[3]
The 1911 England and Wales Census lists Kate as a 29 year old married woman living with her husband, Thomas, and her widowed father, Charles Benjamin, in Walton on the Hill, Liverpool.[4]
