As published in the Greensburg (Indiana) Daily News on Monday, August 2, 1993:

Florence A. Ashby, 83, Indianapolis, died Saturday, July 31, 1993 in Community Hospital East, Indianapolis.

She was a homemaker and member of the Grace United Methodist Church. She was divorced and is survived by four sons, Avis G., Joseph E., Donald E., and David D. Ashby; two daughters, Rose Marie Ashby and Ellen M. Pattison; four sisters, Velma J. Gray, Bonnie Kincaid, Lois Null and Hetta Jacobs; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel, Indianapolis. Burial will be in the Presbyterian Union Cemetery near Greensburg.
