Biography
James was born in 1821. He is the son of James Hogg and Margaret Phillips. [1] At his birth and for subsequent years the family were living at Atrieve Lake, Yarrow parish. [2] Altrieve Lake is a small water feature on the north side of today's B709.
James Robert Hogg never married. He died on October 15, 1894. [3]
