Biography
William Holden is a part of US Black heritage.
William was born in 1852, to William Holden (1825–1920) and Delly (or Mittie) Perry (1825–1927). He is first recorded at his marriage to Lettice Perry in 1876,[1] and in 1880 with their young family, and his sister Anna.[2] The 1900 census records his family of eight, and his sister Charity. [3]

In 1910, he is recorded as a farmer, renting his land.[4] By 1920 he is an owner, likely renting to his sons Otho and Henry, also recorded at neighboring farms.[5]
He passed away in 1926,[6] and is buried at his family farm cemetery.[7]
