Catherine was born in 1807 to John Holman and Janet Fisher. She married Matthew Hamilton in 1827 and had 9 children (see Matthew's profile for names and dates). She died in 1853 and was buried at Pioneer Cemetery, Upper Musquodoboit, Halifax Co., Nova Scotia.
