The 1851 census showed the family living in Gwinear, Cornwall. William Holman, age 45, a copper miner, born in Crowan, Eliza Holman, age 42, born Gwinear, and children William age 16, John age 14, Edward age 10, Marcy age 8, Joseph age 6, Elijah age 3 and Thomas age 1. [2]
