Mary was a Friend (Quaker)
1704 -- Mary Holmes was born at Boleart, Kings county, Ireland. [1]
January 15, 1725 -- Mary Holmes and Joshua English married at Lismoymey, Moate, Westmeath, Ireland. [2][3]
August 1753 -- Joshua English, Mary Holmes English, Thomas English (age 22), and Elizabeth English (age 18) arrived from Ireland on the ship "Hitchcock" at Charles Town Harbor (now called Charleston), South Carolina (Captain Peter Gibson of Whitehaven, England). The English family were Quakers. [4]
1789 -- Mary Holmes English died at Cravens County, (now Camden, Kershaw County), South Carolina, USA. [5]
