Molly (Hood) Becker is Australian.
Molly (Hood) Becker was a Queenslander.
Mary Ann Hood was born in Queensland in 1883 to Mary Ann Hood nee Brockie and William Hood.[1]
Molly, as she was known to her family, married John Frederick Sewood Hodge, the son of John Frederick Hodge and Jane Sewood, in 1901 in Queensland.[2]
Molly and John had children:
- In Brisbane in 1903 Molly gave birth to their daughter, Elizabeth Jane.[3]
- Two years later, Molly had a son, George Sewood, born in Brisbane in 1905.[4]
Molly's husband, John, died in Brisbane in 1911.[5]
In 1913 Mary Ann Hodge married Phillip Becker, the son of August Becker and Charlotte Misserschmidt, in Queensland.[6] Phillip Becker died in Brisbane in 1923.[7]
Mary Ann Becker died in Brisbane in 1950.[8] Mary Ann's Funeral Notice was in Brisbane's The Courier Mail on 3 February 1950:
"BECKER, Mrs. Mary Ann, 16 Ashington St., West End.— Relatives and Friends of Mrs. J. Goodey, Mr. and Mrs. G. Hodge and Families are respectfully informed of the death of their beloved Mother, Mother-in-law, and Grandmother. The Funeral is appointed to leave Salvation Hall. West End, To-day (Friday), at 9.45 a.m., for Mt. Thompson Crematorium. METROPOLITAN FUNERALS"[9]

Me: Molly was 16 years older than Bridget Carter. I found only two husbands: John Hodge and Phillip Becker. Molly was Mary Becker when she died. Perhaps she had another boyfriend who she didn't actually marry?
