Biography

Elizabeth was born in 1926. She was the daughter of Roger Hoot and Laura Ellisor.

In the 1930 Census of San Jacinto County, Texas, the family of R W and Laura Hoot can be found. THose in the household included R W Hoot (39 yrs), Head of Household, occupation, Farmer, Laura Hoot (39 yrs), Annie L Hoot (17 yrs), R Milton Hoot (15 yrs), L Lois Hoot (14 yrs), Marvin W Hoot (11 yrs), A Erwin Hoot (8 yrs)and Bettie Joe Hoot (3 yrs). Laura's age at the time of her marriage was 21.

The family of Roger and Laura can again be found in the 1940 Census in San Jacinto County living near Evergreen. Those in the household included Roger W Hoot (49 yrs), Head of Household, Laura Hoot (47 yrs), Irvin Hoot (18 yrs), Bettie Jo Hoot (13 yrs) and Jennie Sue Hoot (9 yrs). Milton and Edith Hoot were enumerated adjacent to his parents. Harvey Young was also included in Milton and Edith's household (#79). She passed away in 2002.
