Biography

Sarah Hough was born on 23 Feb 1651 in Glouchester, Massachusetts and baptized there on 23 March 1651^[1].

Sarah was the third child of William Hough and Sarah Caulkins.

In 1677 in New London, Connecticut Sarah married (1) David Carpenter^[2] son of David Carpenter Sr. (1629–1650) and Elizabeth Welbourne (abt 1625–1694)

Her husband David Carpenter died 7 MAR 1700. Probate dated 12 May 1700 in Bristol, Massachusetts^[11].

On 24 Nov 1703 in New London, Connecticut widow Sarah Carpenter married (2) William Stevens of Kenellworth^[12].

No known children from this marriage.

Sarah died 19 June 1718 in Saybrook, Connecticut.
