Bridget Houlahan was working as a general domestic servant for Robert Power on the latter's farm in Clondonnell, County Waterford, in 1901. Bridget was an Irish and English speaker and could read and write. John Houlahan, who was also working at the property, was almost certainly her brother (her parents also had a son called John born in Clondonnell).
