Biography
Mary was born about 1844 (per census records 1860, 1870, 1880). Intention to marry was registered in Wayne, Maine on July 8, 1865. [1] The same date is published at Winthrop, Maine. [2] She passed away in 1914. Specific date may be May 3, 1914. [3] She is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Wayne, Maine [4] Gravestone says 1845-1914.
Research Notes
She is likely the daughter of Zachariah Perry House and Lucy Raymond, as shown on the FamilySearch Tree (ID:M6NZ-M5Z) - however their daughter named "Mary" on the 1850 census is reported as Mary Jane House, born about 1848. A more likely person is "Polly" on the 1850 census, born about 1844. On the 1860 census she is Mary F. House (1844) in the household of Zachariah House. The J. Gary Nichols Cemetery Collection (Maine) adds confusion because it shows Polly House (1844-1844) under Zachariah House.
