George married Camelia Kodlers abt 1864 in Mineral County, West Virginia where he continued work as a farm laborer, living with his new family on his mother's acreage. Camelia died in West Virginia, likely in Welton where they were leaving, leaving George to raise their 2 young children with the help of his mother and siblings.
About 1900 while living in Steubenville, Ohio George married Caroline Virginia Howard. Maiden name unknown.[citation needed] She is shown in many Steubenvile directories before and after George's death, living at the address they shared at 412 Linden Avenue, Steubenville.[1]
