Son of Abraham Howe & Elizabeth Wetherbee.
He went to Amhurst, MA abt. 1825 and became one of the prominent men of the town. He kept the hotel for over twenty years, serving as Town Clerk, Selectman, Assessor and town Treasurer. He was a Trial Justice from 1859 till abt. 1870. Abt. 1875 he returned to Marlborough where he died.
