Biography
John was born 1st August 1904[1] in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England[2][3] the son of Charles William Howe and Florence Alice Howe nee Grace[3]
On the 7th April 1928, John Charles Orlando married Doris Sarah Slater at All Saints, Belvedere, Kent, England. John Charles Orlando Howe, 23, bachelor, engineer of 33 Bellon Road, Cricklewood, N.W.2 son of Charles William Howe (wood carver) and Doris Sarah Slater, 25, spinster of 4 Lessness Road, Belvedere, daughter of Edward James Slater {sic} (soldier, deceased). Witnessed by Walter Henry Gordon Mitchell {brother-in-law}, Ivy Clarke and C.W. Howe[4]
John C. Howe (an Engineer Fitter & erector) was living at 32 Lulworth Gardens, Harrow, Middlesex, England in 1939 with his wife Doris S. Howe and 3 children (records closed)[1].
John Charles Howe, an engineer of 32 Lulworth Gardens, South Harrow, Middlesex departed from Mobasa, Kenya, arriving in Hull, Yorkshire 21st June 1950 aboard the "Staffordshire"[5]
John Charles Orlando travelled to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in 1953[3].
He passed away, aged 91 years in 1996 in Norfolk, England[6].
