Biography
Phillip was a son of James Huckaby & Celiah Williams He served in the American Revolutionary War. June 1779 • Franklin County, North Carolina, USA He served under Captain Harry McKinn in the regiment commanded by Colonel Axum. Served 8 months from March to November 1779. Phillip was a piper, and fought at the battle of Gates defeat. June 1780 • Franklin County, North Carolina, USA Served under Captain Robert Height in regiment commanded by Colonel Linton, (2nd division). Served 3 months. Was a piper, and a scout...(Note: DAR Registry Index lists him as "PVT MUS NC, PNSR") He was married to Rebecca LNU about 1793.
