Biography
Marguerita Huey was born on 05 September 1935 in Montgomery, Montgomery County, Alabama, United States.[1] She was the daughter of James Alex Huey and Marguerite (Hildreth) Huey (1908 - 1982).[2][3]
Marriages:
- Marguerita Huey and Theodore Glenn Hartsock were married on 28 June 1955 in Alabama.[4]
- Marita Huey Hartsock and Billy Alford Murdock were married on 31 January 1959 in Alabama.[5][6] They were the parents of at least 3 children who are all likely living.[3]
From her obituary: Marita Huey Murdock "...was an elementary school teacher in Enterprise Schools for over thirty-three years. Throughout her life, she was an active participant and leader In the social, cultural, civic and religious affairs of Enterprise. Since retiring from teaching in 1996. she had been affiliated with her husband's business, Billy Murdock Realty. For many years, Mrs. Murdock also has been a well recognized antique dealer and appraiser in Alabama and surrounding states. She was a long time member the Daughters of the American Revolution and The Sesamle Study Club. In addition to teaching at Mt. Pleasant and Holly Hill Elementary Schools, Mrs. Murdock taught primarily sixth grade students tor over twenty-five years at Hillcrest Elementary School in Enterprise. She held a Masters degree in Elementary School Counseling and also served as a counselor at Hillcrest Elementary School at one time."[3]
Marguerita (Huey) Murdock died on 09 Aug 1997 in Birmingham, Jefferson County, Alabama at the age of 61.[1] She was buried in Meadowlawn Cemetery, Enterprise, Coffee County, Alabama.[3][7]
