Mary (Hughes) Vicks is a part of US Black heritage.

Mary was born about 1847. She married Sidney Vicks on 18 Aug 1866 at Miami County, Ohio. ^[1] Among their children are:

• Rosa
• Othella
• Sidney
• Henry Garfield, b. 16 Nov 1881; m. Mary, dau. of Henry and Celia (Green) Cane; d. 17 Jun 1939
• John, m. Anna, dau. of James and Mary (Hill) White.

Mary Vicks died in Ohio on December 28, 1938.^[2]

According to an obituary clipping posted on her Memorial, Mary was born December 24, 1848 to Mr and Mrs David Hughes.
