Biography

Adeline was born in about 1844, in Stokes, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Nelson Hairston and Edith Hairston.

At some point she, her parents and siblings were brought to Henry County, Virginia. Probably by Ruth Hairston when she inherited her father's estate. After she is shown on the cohabitation report with her parents and siblings, it is unknown what happened to her. Her parents and siblings are shown back in North Carolina in 1870. She is not shown with them.
