Hobert Humphrey, 77, of Lake City, died Sunday, April 1, 2001, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.
Mr. Humphrey was the owner of the former Hobbie's Now & Then Shop and had been an auctioneer for several years.
He was the son of Lee and Nettie Adkins Humphrey, who are deceased.
Mr. Humphrey was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Dicie Humphrey; his daughter, Clotean Norrington and her husband, John Norrington, of Winslow, Ind.; his sons, Billy Ray Humphrey and his wife, Jackie W. Humphrey, of Greenwood, S.C., and Hobert Humphrey Jr. and his wife, Patty Humphrey, of Lake City; his grandchildren, Eddie, Scott, Dee Dee, Tonya, Brooke, Brian, Cody and Shane; and by several other relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by another daughter, Evyon Coldwater.
The funeral will be held at 8 tonight, April 3, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Lake City with ministers Tim Mefford and Garry Jones officiating.
