Silas is listed in Family Data Collection records as being born 24 May 1801. Census records list his place of birth as Pennsylvania.
Marriage
Married Phebe Litchfield 2 October 1825 in Holmes Co. Ohio
On 10 March 1843 recorded by Fulton Co. Illinois, Silas purchased 80 acres of land.
Death
Silas is listed in the 1855 State of Illl Census record. His date of death is listed in many family data collection and ancestry.com family trees as 18 Dec 1856 with no source listed. He is listed in Lykins Co. Kansas probate records in March 1861. Lykins Co became Miami Co. in 1861. I have seen death location on various family history sites listed as Illinois and Kansas.
