Biography

John was born in c1870. place unknown. He passed away in 1943 in New Zealand and he is buried in Waikumete Cemetery & Crematorium, Glen Eden, Auckland, NZ

John was a 'sea-faring man', 'a marine fireman' according to his marriage to Louisa and Emily's birth registrations.

He married in Tasmania in 1890 October 14 to Louisa Jane Thorne at All Saints, Hobart.

There are two daughters of Louisa, Phyllis b1888-1961 and Emily Maud b 1891-1950. Phillis' birth January 29, 1888, says her mother is Louisa Thorne and father George Webb, but she is also listed as Phyllis Maud Hutley in several trees. Phyllis married Reginald Basham and Emily married Henry W Clark.

The family moved to New Zealand some time in the 1890s, perhaps before his mother died [#1894/532 Hutley Rose Ann 58Y bc1836]

John married Elizabeth Cathrine Mahoney in 1909/ #4686 and had several children.

John was born about 1870.
