Sarah Hutton was born about 1780 in Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, daughter of Robert Hutton (~1756– ).

Sarah (19) married Archibald Hamilton (21) (born in March, 1778 in Ireland) about 1800 in Dublin.

They had nine children, including a son, William Rowan Hamilton (1805–1865), a notable Irish mathematician..[1]
