Biography

William Iiams, born 1750 in Maryland, is the Father of Amos Iiams, William Iiams, Jesse Iiams, Mary Iiams Gordon, Rebecca Iiams Crow, and Rachel Iiams Dart. The wife of William is still not verified. William owned a plantation in Maryland and land in Pennsylvania, and raised tobacco and other crops. William's Will can be found online. William's Will was executed in 1824 while he was living and probated after his death in 1831, the year he died in Maryland. All six of William's children inherited property under his Will and there was no name of a Wife in William's Will. The three sons inherited land and the three daughters inherited money and personal property. There are only six children mentioned in William's Will. Records on William and his family may be found in the records of All Hallows Episcopal Church in Maryland. William passed away in 1831 in Maryland.
