John Ingram was born before 10 August 1796 in Collithie, Gartly, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, son of William Ingram and Jean Thomson. [1]
John married Margaret Scott on 3 June 1818 in Rhynie and Essie, Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom. [2] The marriage was also recorded in Deskford, Banffshire. [3] Their known children were:
- Jean Ingram (bef. 6 June 1818 – 5 August 1891) .
- Margaret Ingram (15 June 1820 – unknown) .
- Katherine Ingram (19 July 1822 – unknown) .
- Isobel Ingram (7 March 1825 – 24 June 1901) .
- John Fraser Ingram (10 January 1827 – 12 June 1873) .
- Mary Ann Ingram (26 December 1828 – unknown) .
- Andrew Ingram (10 April 1831 – 12 April 1911) .
- James Ingram (1 August 1833 – unknown) .
