  • Cheltenham Chronicle April 24, 1828: "And at Forthampton, on the body of Mr. John Ireland, of Eldersfield, who, in consequence of his horse falling, was thrown with great violence on a heap of stones, and was so seriously injured he died the next day. Verdict: Accidental Death.
