Using DNA testing on Ancestry. com, I have found probable parentage and siblings for Richard Franklin Ireland. All my DNA info is on Ancestry.com (and I've been unable to figure out how to put it on wikitree). So family info is as follows:

Father: Thomas Cleverly Ireland (approx. 1780-1830/1840) Mother: Mary Alice Hance (abt. 1775/1794-18 Apr 1825) Siblings: George Benjamin Ireland (25 Dec 1814 - 22 Mar 1862) Benjamin Hance Ireland (11 Jul 1816 - 8 Jul 1858) Thomas Cleverly Ireland (4 Jan 1818 - 19 Aug 1821) Mary Dare Ireland (10 Jan 1820 - 10 Dec 1882) John Thomas Ireland (6 Nov 1821 - 29 Dec 1823)

I have multiple DNA matches who trace their family line back to these people, and one match (Anne Agee) says she got birth/death dates from a family bible which listed Richard Franklin Ireland as part of this family. I am still researching this info, but wanted to post it for others to see and have. Posted by Sharon Ireland (Ireland-1363)

"Indianian-Republican," Nov 15, 1894, page 4, column 3: Death of Richard Ireland, "Richard Ireland, of whose serious illness we kept the readers of this paper advised, died Tuesday last, and was interred in Oakwood Cemetery on Thursday. He was 69 years, 7 months, and 8 days old at the date of his death. The deceased came to this county in 1862, and has been a resident ever since. Mr. Ireland was an industrious, moral, and upright man. He came here from Noble Co., Ohio, and had a wide acquaintance in this place and southeast of town where he first resided after moving to Indiana. The funeral was quite largely attended, both of his sons who are engaged in business at Monticello being present. Mr. Ireland suffered a great deal during his last illness, and felt that death would be a release."

"George W. Ireland, who had come to his former home for the purpose of attending the funeral of his father, left for Monticello Saturday. He has been engaged in the grocery trade at that place for a number of years past, and both himself and brother, who also lives in that place, have been quite successful."

A few weeks ago, while eating his dinner, he was taken with a very sudden attack, and has been confined to his bed ever since. The old gentleman is well respected and one of the older citizens of the county, but we had not learned of his illness until last evening."
