Biography
Jesse Ireland was born on 27 Aug 1804 in Virginia, in an area now part of West Virginia. He was a son of Alexander Ireland andElizabeth Ragan. He married Sarah Wells in 1826, and 14 of their 15 children were born there.
In 1851 they traveled by steamboat down the Ohio River, up the Mississippi River to Burlington, Iowa.
In 1857 the family traveled by covered wagon to the Nebraska Territory.
Burial: Anderson Grove Cemetery in Bellevue, Sarpy County, Nebraska, USA.
