Biography

Elizabeth Irons was born in 1854 in Perranzabuloe, Cornwall, England to William Irons and Eliza (Broad) Irons. Her birth was registered in Truro, Cornwall in the last quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Broad.^[1]

Elizabeth's mother passed away in 1857, and her father married Catherine Worden in 1859.

In 1871 Elizabeth Irons (age 16) lived at Farm Houses & Cottages in St Breock with her father Wm (45, Labourer), stepmother Catherine (41), and four half-brothers: John (10), Mark (7), Frank (3), and Wm (0).^[2]
