This profile is based on information contained in the sources listed below. Hopefully, future research will determine if "Jackson" was, indeed, the maiden name of the wife of John Scarburgh, aka John Scarborough.

"Search performed using PAF Insight on 09 Jan 2007 - Henry Scarborough; Male; Birth: 1521 , Norfolk, England; Father: John Scarborough; Mother: Mauge [sic. = Maude] Jackson; Spouse: Elizabeth Bell; Marriage: < 1544> <Surrey, England>".^[1]

PAF Insight is a genealogy software search program from 2004 that helps one search the IGI (International Genealogical Database) archives using incomplete data to find possible matches.

Other sources have debunked the possibility that Henry Scarburgh's mother's maiden name was "Will" as that was an error in reading old UK sources (a document referring to Maude's WILL lead to the mistake; repeated in many family trees, alas!).^[2]
