Biography

Mahala Jackson was supposedly daughter of William Jackson and Dorcus Green.[citation needed]

She married Edward Sizemore.[citation needed]

It is theorized that this Edward Sizemore was son of Edward "old Ned" Sizemore.

The Jacksons, Greens and Sizemores all lived in the same place, Wynne's Creek, Banister River, located in what is today Haliafx County, Virginia.

Mahala's father, William Jackson-2830 (needs merge with 13012) had a sister, Rachel Elizabeth Jackson, and she married his friend Edward Sizmeore-38.

Mahala Jackson grew up living in the same community as Edward Sizemore-38, and ended up marrying the boy next door, as the saying goes, who was Edward Sizemore-291, aka Edward Jr, aka Ned Sizemore, not to be confused with his father called Old Ned.

Lilly,

William Jackson-2830 was not the husband of Dorcas Green or father of Mahala.

Look at his narrative; he was married to Mary (supposedly Williams) and his will left bequests to each of his children, none of whom include a Mahala.

Also Jackson-13012 is someone completely different -- a woman. Typo, perhaps in your Jackson-13012 ?

Mahala Jackson was born about 1745 at Wynne's Creek, Banister River, Halifax Co VA (formerly Lunenburg Co VA). This birth place is based on the fact that her mother Dorcus Green-1034 (needs merge with Green-6740) was the daughter of Henry Green-1041. That Dorcus is his daughter is proven by Henry's will which names her, and is signed by her husband, William Jackson, who aslso signs with Edward Sizemore-38.

The Henry Green Family. the Henry Sizmeore family, and William Jackson all lived side by side as neighbors and relatives at Wynne's Creek. William Jackson's sister Rachel Elizabeth Jackson married Edward Sizemore-38, William Jackson's daughter Mahala married Edward Sizemore-291, s/o Edward Sizemore-38. All of these marriages occured at Wynne's Creek, but only land and court records are found, and no marriage records have been found.
