Biography

Sarah's birth date is estimated about 1781. Sarah is mentioned as Sarah Jackson in her Grandfather Isaac Farrow's 1803 Will, and as Sarah Strother in her father Samuel Jackson's 1815 Will. So she married John Strother sometime before Feb 1815. It is not known if she married in Prince William or Fauquier County, Virginia. She passed away before 1838 leaving only one known son, Alpheus Jackson Strother.

"And first my desire is that the money arising from the sale of land to Benson Lynn be applyed to the payment of my just debts except what I gave to the Baptist society of which there is a record in the Clerks office of this County and if any money should be left of it after paying my Debts the residue is to be applyed to the payment of my four Daughters fifty pounds each to wit Sarah Strother, Susanna Langfit, Jane Jackson and Betsey Jackson . . ."
