Mercy L. Jackson was born in 1871 and passed away after 1940. She was the daughter of Hezekiah R. Jackson and Jerusha Hicks. Wife of Isaac F. Hendricks, [sic#Jr.].

Native American and African American ancestry:

Mercy's ethnicity was Native American on her mother's side and African American on her father's side. Mercy's family were recorded on the Earle Report of 1861 (10 yrs. before her birth) as members of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe in Mashpee, Barnstable, Massachusetts.^[1][2]
