Biography
Michael Jacoby was born August 7, 1849, in Big Springs, Seneca County, Ohio. Michael is the son of John/Jean Theodore Jacoby and Maria Gengler.
Michael was only years of age when his father died August 24, 1851. His mother married a second time January 4, 1853, in New Riegel, Seneca County, Ohio to Heinrich Adang.
Michael married August 25, 1870, in Alveda, Big Springs, Seneca Co, Ohio to Mary A. Reinhart, daughter of John Karl Reinhart and Susan Strasser. Michael and Mary were married in St. Peter’s Church in Alveda. Mary was born October 17, 1850, in Big Spring, Seneca County, Ohio.
To the union of Michael and Mary were born eight children, Susana Jacoby, Anna Maria Jacoby, William Jacoby, Rose Mary Jacoby, Peter E. Jacoby, Martha Mary Jacoby, Joseph Harvey Jacoby, and John Aloysius Jacoby.
Michael died November 30, 1915, in Carey, Wyandot County, Ohio. Mary died Michael and Mary are buried in Saint Nicholas Catholic Cemetery in Frenchtown, Seneca County, Ohio.
