Robert was born in 1938. He was the son of Ervin Jantz and Almeda Base. He passed away in 2017.

Robert “Bob” Jantz 79 of Abilene passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017. He was born June 21, 1938 in Deer Creek, Oklahoma, the son of Ervin and Almieda (Base) Jantz. He was united in marriage to Betty Jean Wise October 11, 1958. They were married 23 years before later divorcing. Bob joined the Army in September of 1961 and was honorably discharged in August of 1967. He worked as a machinist working for AB&B in Enterprise and also worked for VacuBlast in Abilene. Bob enjoyed golfing, bowling and playing cards at the Senior Center.Bob is survived by daughter, Cheryl Jantz O’Dell of Lincoln, Nebraska and a son, Gary Jantz of Solomon. Three grandchildren: Stephanie O’Dell of Lincoln, Nebraska; Katelan Turner and husband Logan of Solomon; Morgan Krebs and husband Devin of Dickinson, South Dakota. Three Great-Grandchildren, one brother, Lonnie Jantz of Abilene and a sister, Ruby Carpenter of Abilene.He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ivan Jantz and sister, Cindy Willis.
