John Head Jarvis was born on December 3, 1787 in Boston, Suffolk, Commonwealth of Massachusetts, United States, son of Philip Jarvis (1762–1831) and Ann Head (1764–1848).
In 1807, he accompanied miss Mary Pepperell (Sparhawk) Jarvis (1781-1811) to Lisbon, who was to marry his first cousin William Jarvis (1770-1859), who was the U.S. Consul at Lisbon at the time.[1]
John (23) married Rebecca Hall (19) (born on May 15, 1791) on January 6, 1811 in Castine, Hancock, Massachusetts. Their children were:
John died on January 12, 1850 in Boston, Massachusetts, aged 62.[2] He was buried in Castine Cemetery, Castine, Maine.
